Welcome Home Jake!

I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas Eve present for my good friend Michele. Her finance, Jake, came home from Guam today, after over 7 months away. The reunion was beautiful, welcome to the story.

During Michele's consultation talking about her wedding, Jake made a surprise cameo appearance, and spent the last hour with us over Skype. All three of us went through the contract, details of the wedding, and planned out a day for the engagement session. Throughout the session, Jake and I agreed that the wedding would be best served with a chocolate fountain. Since then, we pretty much became BFF's, and although Michele objected to the idea, I think we may have informed her it was in her best interest to get a flowing fountain of wonderfulness. Yay!

My girlfriend Victoria and I left to meet Michele at her house promptly at 6 am. After the crazy rainstorm the past few days, the pre-dawn fog-filled streets made driving a bit of a difficulty, but we made it safely. From there we depart for the airport, wait anxiously for his plane to arrive (which was on time). Here are a few pictures to help get you through the rest of what happened.

We got to the airport to see a gorgeous sunrise. It sure wasnt foggy at the airport.

Michele informed us she stayed up till early hours of the morning, cleaning and making some signs.

We couldn't figure it out. The board said his plane was on time for 7:18 am, and it was 7:22, and still no where to be seen. We couldnt wait to see him run down the escalator.

And waiting...

We decided to do a quick portrait while we waited.

Next thing I know Michele takes off running in the opposite direction. I wonder why...
You can see Jake in the background as he drops his bags as the love of his life is sprinting towards him.

They embrace for the first time in over half a year!

They did this for a while. But can you blame them?!

When asked why he was giving his badass face, we were all informed that he does not have a badass face, this is his sad face. Why he was giving his sad face...not too sure.

Thats better Jake!

When I asked him what his plans for today were, he turned to Michele and said her.
"Tomorrow" I asked? He answered, "Her."
"Sunday?" He informed me, "probably her, but its a toss up at the moment"
